You know, it’s been a long time since an Aston Martin really stirred my blood. Since the Virage Vantage (in classic BRG of course) infact. I’ve considered them all to be adaptations and slight changes on the previous models, I’d be hard pushed to explain the visual differences between a DB7 and 9 for example.
Then I found this:
Now, THAT is a car that makes you sit up and pay attention. It’s the new Aston Martin One-77 finally unveiled this week in Italy and undoubtedly headed to the screen in the next 007 film.
This is why Aston Martin should stick to supercars and forget the whole saloon and four-door idea. You buy an Aston if you want something like this, if you want a stylish four-door you go to your nearest Alfa Romeo dealer, right?
Another beautiful ‘British’ super car though and one that’s sure to set some motoring journalists dribbling and looking for appropriate metaphors soon though.
